Visit the Home and Old Studio of a historic South African Artist. The museum was established in 1971 and is run by the Irma Stern Trust and the University of Cape Town. The museum was established in the house she lived in for almost 40 years with several of the rooms left as she had arranged them.

The permanent collection displays her growth as an artist, whilst the lively temporary exhibition is held annually in the garden. At the museum there regularly held art exhibitions by various Contemporary South African Artists.
